Bloom
Digital community coordination for a Burning Man-inspired NGO — and a collaboration platform built from the ground up for self-organizing communities.
Bloom is a mission-driven NGO born from the Burning Man community — helping people and society develop through community building, art, culture, and direct experience. No bosses, no top-down management: a distributed community that organizes itself.
As Digital Community Coordinator, Thrivbe’s founder built the collaboration infrastructure that makes that possible — and Bloom became the field lab for convictions Thrivbe still operates on: communities can run on clear structures instead of heroes.
Collaboration infrastructure from the ground up
Communication systems, knowledge structures, and coordination rhythms for a volunteer community — designed so the organizing load spreads across many shoulders instead of burning out the few.
The Bloom platform
A purpose-built collaboration operating system for mission-driven teams: projects with SDG alignment and skill-matched teams, reusable project blueprints, kanban task boards with time tracking, threaded discussions, a shared calendar, a knowledge commons, habit and momentum tracking against the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and command-palette search across everything. Local-first and offline-friendly — built for communities, not for lock-in.
