Can an openly-AI employee character build a real B2B funnel on short-form video?

Hypothesis

People don't want another faceless AI tool — they want a colleague. If Thrivbe's own AI employee ("Pam, Employee #2") shows her actual work on camera, openly AI, deadpan and warm, she can build the "digital colleagues" category on reach channels (IG/TikTok) while the receipts convert founders on the /hire funnel. Research tailwind: openly-AI character accounts average ~3x human engagement.

What we built

• Character pipeline: a locked reference sheet (painterly-3D, AI lapel pin), a custom ElevenLabs voice, and a Seedance 2 identity-anchored video recipe — every clip is generated, nothing filmed.
• A storyboard technique that works: feeding Seedance a numbered 3-panel storyboard sheet + character anchor produces three clean sequential shots with cuts in a single render — identity and style held throughout.
• A production cockpit: the review Studio grew into a small factory — semantic inspiration search over our knowledge base, an episode kanban (idea → published), and a request queue, all feeding an experiment log where every render, verdict, and metric is queryable.
• The funnel: IG @thivr.a → /hire, with a lead endpoint that pings the founder's Telegram in seconds.

Learnings

• Lip-sync is the hard part: stylized multi-beat scenes break every redub tool we tried; single face-on continuous shots work. The backlog is filtered by that constraint until it's solved.
• Video models re-synthesize reference audio — never trust the render's audio track; swap in the original VO in post.
• The kill gate is pre-committed: by day 30, ≥2 of {a reel >20k views, >1k followers, ≥10 hire leads} — or the experiment dies.
